Where the Tide Softens

A gentle meeting place between movement and stillness, Where the Tide Softens evokes the quiet rhythm of the littoral edge, that shifting boundary where ocean and land dissolve into one another. Layers of translucent blues and mineral greys drift across a warm, luminous ground, suggesting both depth and distance, like a horizon remembered rather than seen.

Soft gradients and flowing forms echo the ebb and flow of water, while delicate textures hint at sediment, light, and time suspended. The composition invites a sense of calm reflection, offering a visual pause, a space to breathe, reset, and reconnect.

Part of the Littoral Series, this work explores the emotional resonance of coastal thresholds - places of transition, stillness, and quiet transformation.
